Why BarBrief

Less deciphering. More understanding.

Some notes are too condensed to give the detail you need; others are so technical you spend more time decoding than learning. BarBrief was built to sit precisely between the two.

  1. 01

    Comprehensive coverage

Every section of the official materials worked through — not a condensed outline.

  2. 02

    Accessible language

Concepts broken down into plain English and structured bullet points.

  3. 03

    Thoughtful organization

Clear headings, consistent formatting and a layout that makes key information easy to spot.

  4. 04

    Built from experience

The notes Jessica used to prepare for and pass both exams on her first attempt.

Testimonials

From candidates who used the notes.

“These notes were all I used during the actual bar exam. Every time I needed to look up an answer, it was right there and easy to find. My only regret is not buying them sooner. I wish I had used them from the start of my preparation.”
M. Toor
“I barely needed to highlight my materials because the key concepts were already clearly laid out in the notes. The plain-English explanations made the content easy to follow without feeling overwhelmed. As a visual learner, I found the tables and bullet points especially helpful. They made studying so much more manageable.”
J. Durie
“Excellent value for money. Jessica’s tutoring and notes helped me understand concepts in a depth I wouldn’t have thought possible in such a short time. She explained the material clearly and gave me the resources I needed to feel prepared. I saw a huge improvement in my practice test scores after working with her and using her notes.”
S. Chen
“Hands down, the best bar exam notes I’ve used. They strike the perfect balance: detailed enough to study from on their own, yet concise enough to keep the material manageable. The clear layout and point-form explanations made everything so much easier to work through.”

Questions

Before you begin.

All questions
What do the notes contain?

Each set summarises the 2026-27 LSO Licensing Material for its subjects in plain English, using structured bullet points, clear headings and consistent formatting. Each product page lists the exact subjects covered and shows sample pages.

Can I print the notes?

Yes. Your purchased notes are provided as PDFs, which you can print for your personal study and exam preparation and take into the actual exam centre. This allows you to highlight key points, add handwritten annotations, and organize the notes in a way that works best for you.

Should I use the notes alongside the official LSO materials?

Yes. The notes are designed to complement the official LSO materials by simplifying complex concepts and organizing information into an accessible format. They can help you review the content and locate key information efficiently, but the official LSO materials remain the authoritative source for your examination. Always review any updates or corrections issued by the LSO for your exam cycle.

Can I share the PDFs with others?

No. Each purchase is for the purchaser’s individual use only. You may download and print the notes for your own preparation, but you may not forward the PDFs, upload them to shared folders, make copies for others, redistribute them, or resell them. Anyone wishing to use the notes should purchase their own copy.

What is the difference between the Barrister and Solicitor notes?

The Barrister Exam Notes cover Civil Procedure (including timelines), Family Law, Criminal Law, Professional Responsibility (including notes on the by-laws) and Public Law. The Solicitor Exam Notes cover Professional Responsibility (including notes on the by-laws), Business Law, Estate Law and Real Estate Law. Professional Responsibility is included in both sets.

Two exams. One better brief.

Approach exam day with clarity and confidence.
